The AMPTP, is the entertainment industry's official collective bargaining representative and negotiates 80 industry-wide collective bargaining agreements on behalf of hundreds of motion picture and television producers (member companies include the production entities of the studios, broadcast networks, certain cable networks and independent producers).

The AICP represents "the interests of companies that specialize in producing commercials on various media - film, video, digital - for advertisers and agencies. AICP members account for 85 percent of all domestic commercials aired nationally, whether produced for traditional broadcast channels or non-traditional use."
