About the Program

Intern Reviews

  • "The program has been so well designed, and I can really tell a lot of effort went into creating the program. Everyone that is responsible for putting the internship together really do care about us, and it is very inspiring. I am used to working 40 hours a week so that wasn't much of a change for me. Work/life balance is great and I honestly feel so lucky to be interning with Charles Schwab."
  • "The culture is people-focused. There's always an understanding from your team and management if any concerns are brought up. The people here are always willing to help and answer any questions you have. Also, they push you to challenge yourself and bring in opportunities to learn which you never knew existed. 40 hours per week was expected, but there was some flexibility in setting your work hours. The company prioritizes employee needs and the work/life balance. However, sometimes there are nightly releases that adds a bit of work afterhours."
  • "The support and guidance is overwhelming and exceeds any/all expectations I had prior to starting my internship. I don't think I would have been nearly as confident or successful without it."
  • "The firm culture and overall environment have been incredible. The people are extremely genuine and all more than willing to be of help to the interns. The virtual experience certainly made it difficult to find the work/life separation, given I was working out of my home."

Getting Hired Here

  • "There was a phone screening interview followed by two virtual interviews, each 30 minutes. The initial phone screening was a pleasant experience. Feedback was given on how to navigate interviews better in preparation for the future hiring process. The interviewer was very kind to do this as they sincerely wished for my success. The virtual interviews went well too. It was the first time I was not nervous during the interview because they talked to me comfortably. They also made it more like a conversation than a typical Q&A format. The interviews were not that difficult. As a technology intern, there were no direct coding challenge as there usually is for the role. However, they did ask about technical concepts. This showed how the company does not emphasize the outcome a person can bring to benefit the company. Instead, they focus on the people themselves, and they are willing to put in the resources to develop your skills through this educational opportunity."
  • "I went through 4 rounds of interviewing with HR and then employees from my business unit. They were great interviewers who asked relevant questions and kept me engaged. They seemed interested in me and very prepared."
  • "The application/interview was amazing. I applied and received a response within 1-2 weeks. The recruiter was in constant contact with me to give me updates. They always made themselves available when I had questions. I had a total of 3 interviews( one with HR, and two with the team)."
  • "Very thorough interview process. I went through 5 rounds in total. Talent Acquisition Department works really hard to place people in great roles within the company. When one position was filled, I was asked if I would consider another since I had been the second choice for the first opportunity."
