Careers at Caldwell

Associate Development

Caldwell helps fast track Associates and Technical Specialists. Through our Summer Associate Program, participants are able to familiarize themselves with Caldwell’s internal structure and expectations while also tackling necessary industry skills to enhance their experiences. We seek law students who have a thirst for knowledge and whose ideas can assist in the advancement of our firm. Law students enjoy a collaborative environment, working directly with partners to gain client experience early on. At the end of our program, Summer Associates and our firm can determine the best ways to achieve long-term success for both parties.

Similarly, we offer advancement opportunities on a case by case basis through our Technical Specialists Program, where Technical Specialists can become Patent Agents through education reimbursement on their paths to becoming Patent Attorneys.

Our approach of reinvesting into the community is systemically ingrained as part of our company culture, valuing innovation regardless from where it originates. By tapping into often overlooked talent, we practice and uphold entrepreneurship to its greatest extent.

Caldwell has been aggressively expanding since its conception with the first office opening its doors in Burlington, Vermont. The following year, the firm opened an office in Massachusetts, which has since grown and recently expanded to Boston’s John Hancock Tower. In 2021, the firm broadened its reach even further, opening a West Coast office in Santa Monica and its first international office in London. Caldwell’s rapid expansion has earned it the No. 1 spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list as the fastest-growing IP law firm in America for 3 years in a row.
