Employee Reviews

  • “Very strong culture supporting the importance of a balanced work and personal life. The challenge as with any firm is knowing when will be a busy time and making sure sufficient resourcing for those times.”
  • “Public Accounting in general is really tough hours-wise, but the firm constantly provides ways to make the hours a little more bearable and encourages a life outside of working.”
  • “The firm has been very flexible with respect to where employees work during the pandemic. The offices have been open for those who want to go to the office, but working in the offices has not been required. Communications have also been excellent, with frequent firm updates and other interactions over Zoom. Higher turnover due to the extremely tight market for professionals has put a strain on resources to some extent.”
  • “Very flexible. The firm wants to help balance people’s schedules so they are not overloaded, expresses concern about burnout, is very friendly about use of vacation time, and wants people to be engaged internally and externally. But there needs to be better communication and more overall awareness of people’s schedules and availability, as well as more accountability at manager and partner levels regarding being aware of and respecting these schedules and the workload that people have. For example, some managers and partners will give work to staff without going through the scheduling procedures. Bypassing this centralized process makes it more difficult to manage people’s workloads and know how much work they truly have.”

Getting Hired Here

  • “We recruit at select local colleges, with most new hires interning with us first. Experienced hires are interviewed by our People & Culture team or the department COO first, then have office visits where they interview with approximately four people and have a tour. We have firm recruiters and use outsourced recruiters as needed. The ideal candidate is somebody who aligns with our core values of people, entrepreneurial, accessible, and quality. We think outside the box in ways to add value to our clients and invest in relationships.”

  • “The interview and callback process are always pretty quick. We really look for individuals that are team oriented, hardworking, and ready to grow.”

  • “Ideally looking for hungry, humble, and smart candidates. You need to be a self-starter with a willingness to provide strong customer service and support the needs of the team and the clients.”

  • “Interview process couldn’t have been better. I met with the partners and a few associates in a formal setting, and it was never too stressful, other than the normal interview jitters.”
