Intern Reviews

  • “My internship experience exceeded my expectations. The people I worked with were very friendly, helpful, patient, and flexible.”
  • “I personally really enjoy the hybrid flexibility, and it is something I am looking for in my future full-time employment.”
  • “Staples has an amazing culture, and this is the aspect that I value the most. They position as "Human," and I have confirmed that it is not merely a marketing campaign but a quality evident among the workforce. Many employees have dedicated numerous years to the company because they feel valued, and they truly appreciate the treatment they have received. While my commitment is for 40 hours per week (8 hours a day), it is not a rigid schedule. They offer a flexible schedule that empowers you to shape your time and have a balance between your life and your work. You can choose to start your day earlier or later, adjust your lunch duration, and conclude your work at the time that suits you best to accomplish the 40 hours.”
  • “Overall, it has been apparent since my first day that employees are pleased to be working at Staples for the most part. I think this is due to being hybrid (requirement of 3 days in-office) and the introduction of Summer Fridays. The people are extremely accommodating, and peers pretty much trust you to do as you please as long as you get your job done. Aside from that, I wish people were more collaborative within the building, and there was a stronger sense of community outside of the people you know on your team. There is a good effort with corporate outdoor events for employees to engage, but I think starting within with improvements to spaces like the break rooms would be more effective in creating gathering spaces.”

Getting Hired Here

  • “It went very smoothly. I felt like the people that interviewed me were rooting for me.”
  • “The interview process was positive, and the interviewer was friendly.”
  • “It was a good experience. I had two interviews: one with my direct manager and one with the VP who was above my manager. Even though there was not a separate interview with HR, they made sure to cover all the important behavioral questions in the first interview. The conversations went well; I instantly connected with both of them, and they took the time to know me well first. The interviews were moderately challenging. I felt at ease with the interviewers as they were very nice to me, but I had to think and share several examples from my past experiences to showcase my skills.”
  • “Interview process was straightforward. I liked the people I spoke to and the questions that they asked - didn't feel like they were trying to trick me or throw me curveballs.”
