Intern Reviews

  • "The culture is fantastic and the environment is great. I work 40 hours a week, but the schedule is flexible and the company is very accommodating toward any requests if necessary. Work life/balance is great."
  • "Since the internship was completely remote, I was able to pack up my laptop and work wherever I was. My team was even flexible with my daily hours with the difference in time zones. I was expected to work 40 hours a week. When I needed to take a travel day, my manager was very flexible with my work hours."
  • "Everyone I've interacted with has been wonderful. Super supportive and full of advice. The hours required of me as an intern was only 40 which gave me a perfect view into a full time position with plenty of personal time left over. 10/10 work culture environment even online."
  • "I have found the environment at Centene to be very welcoming and supportive. Everyone I have spoken to has been more than willing to answer any questions I may have and connect me to the resources I need to succeed. I will say at times it can be quite fast paced and difficult to find time on people's calendars. The expected hours are a standard 40 hour work week. While this definitely varies by department and team, my team and manager were insistent on work/life balance and ensuring plenty of breaks were being taken to avoid being burnt out. Additionally, my team is allowed to take off a few hours early on Fridays before a holiday weekend."

Getting Hired Here

  • "There were two interviews for the internship. The first as a very informal get to know you, and the second focused more on experience and skills. Out of around 100 applicants, I believe they narrowed down to 14 after the first round, and then chose 4 after the second round. Pretty competitive selection process."
  • "The interview process was pretty standard. The application was standard and it was followed by two rounds of interviews."
  • "I understand the Centene internship program is quite competitive. My interview process was fairly straight forward and easy. After submitting my application, I was informed I was selected for an interview within a few days. The intern talent team was very responsive to my emails and helped me to set up the interview quickly. The interview was conducted virtually by the people on the team that I would be working with. It took about two weeks and an inquiry email on my part before I received a response offering me the position."
  • "I had a very nice interview with my leader when applying for the internship. The only thing I would suggest is to send out updates to those who have applied waiting to see if they will get an interview or not."
