Intern Reviews

  • “The quality of life is the best. The interns are genuinely treated like valued employees, our managers want us to learn and have a good experience. All the employees who mentioned work/life balance were aware of it and seeking to create a good one. We are all required to work 40 hours a week, generally, I will work longer because I'm here to learn and gain experience.”
  • “I am required to work 40 hours a week, but that is flexible depending on things that may come up that stop me from getting my full 40 hours. I can work overtime as much as I want as well. Hanson is great with work/ life balance and understands that employees have a life outside of work too.”
  • “They have been very flexible in when I work and for how long. Once I go home, I am able to not worry about work tasks until I arrive the next morning. I even had coworkers worried I was working too late from responding to messages outside of working hours. The company culture is very inclusive and welcomes everyone.”
  • “Everyone I have worked with has been very welcoming and helpful. I am capped at 40 hours a week, and it is always busy. The days fly by, but in a good way. I have learned a lot in such a short amount of time that will help me for my future.”

Why Intern Here

Hanson engineering interns become a part of our team, with a seat at the table and a role in the field — top-notch learning experiences in the trenches with seasoned professionals. Interns typically support one or more of our experienced engineers in assignments, spend time shadowing operations, work on unique assignments that support larger projects and experience the day-to-day workings of engineering. Many of our past interns have seamlessly  transitioned into full-time positions with us after graduation. Read about one of our full-time aviation employees who found a home at Hanson following an internship.

Getting Hired Here

  • “It was a pretty relaxed and non-extensive interviewing process.”
  • “My interviewer was direct but also personable. I was nervous, but he made it easy to discuss both personal and professional matters. Although it went longer than anticipated, I enjoyed talking to my interviewer.”
  • “I interviewed with several different internships within Hanson, and they each went great. They had flexibility for remote interviews because I am not from the area, explained things well, and asked good questions. I came out of the interview knowing what I was getting into if I were to be hired and had great interactions. They were also great about leaving the decision up to you and not being competitive within the company, as I got offers from several different departments.”
