About the Program

Summer Analysts and Associates participate in live transactions during their 10 weeks at Harris Williams.  The program enables participants to gain exposure to the different phases of an M&A transaction, as well as to different industry groups and sub-sectors.  Participants also complete a summer project, which simulates major aspects of the pitch process, during their internship.  Interns discuss their project in a session with senior bankers at the end of the summer internship program.

Intern Reviews

  • "While I was "on call" at most times, I was able to make the appropriate amount of space for myself without worrying about work and the full-time staff were very supportive."
  • "Firm culture is great. The people are friendly and incredibly grateful for your contributions. Hours can definitely be long at times, but it ebbs and flows, and that comes with the territory in this industry."
  • "Great culture but very busy, worked 80-100 hour weeks."

Getting Hired Here

  • "Interviews were quick between rounds and the process was very streamlined. Communication was excellent from the recruiting team. The difficulty was very standard for investment banking. Technical questions were what is to be expected and were almost entirely right out of the guides for IB interviews. However, the timeline to accept the internship offer was very short (1 week)."
  • "Their interview process was incredibly well organized and thoughtful. I walked away feeling like they had a good understanding of my personality, my strengths, and my weaknesses and I felt like I had a better understanding of their firm. In my opinion, I think this is how an interview process should be."
