Who we are
MoloLamken is a boutique firm focused exclusively on complex litigation. Our practice is sophisticated, varied, and interesting—we do a broad range of work, both civil and criminal, at the trial, appellate, and Supreme Court levels. Representative matters range from white-collar criminal defense and SEC investigations to a plaintiff’s-side libel suit against a best-selling author. We won 3 cases in the Supreme Court in our first year of practice. And we are growing our practices in intellectual property, financial services litigation, and antitrust.
Our founding partners, Steven Molo and Jeffrey Lamken, developed national reputations while partners at prestigious full-service firms. They started MoloLamken based on their belief that litigation is handled most effectively by smaller teams composed exclusively of smart, experienced lawyers who are free to work unconstrained by typical big-firm hierarchies. We prefer not to bill by the hour and, instead, attempt to structure fee arrangements that place a premium on efficiency and reward success. Our new model has received a great deal of interest in the legal and business media.
We look for people who share our passion and commitment to excellence in advocacy. As you will see from reviewing our bios, our lawyers come from top law schools and most have had prestigious judicial clerkships or held relevant positions in government before joining us. To provide clients with experienced representation at each step of a matter, we do not hire associates straight from law school. We are highly selective, and we offer compensation and benefits competitive with that of large, top-tier law firms.
