About the Company

Asana was founded by former Facebook engineers Dustin Moskovitz and Justin Rosenstein. The two became frustrated with what they called “work about work,” the clutter and business that comes with high-volume digital workspaces. Together, the two created an internal tool to cut down on time spent on “work about work.” In 2008, Moskovitz and Rosenstein realized the value of their innovation, and left to start Asana. The company debuted on the New York Stock Exchange as ASAN in 2019. Asana has a clear and simple goal: to make work less about logistics and more about the real work companies want to get done.
